1. Chương trình đào tạo

Chương trình đào tạo nghề được dạy ở các trường phổ thông trung học song song với chương trình phổ thông, hoặc trong các trường cao đẳng chuyên đào tạo nghề và cấp các loại bằng cấp:

  • BTEC diploma – cao đẳng, chương trình dành cho học sinh hết GCSE trở lên, chủ yếu là lý thuyết nhưng nội dung về đào tạo nghề và mang tính thực tiễn cao hơn, thiên về chuyên môn cụ thể hơn so với A level.
  • NVQs là chứng chỉ nghề đào tạo dựa trên thưc tiễn và có thể ra làm việc ngay sau khi tốt nghiệp.
  • CACHE qualifications – CACHE  – là chứng chỉ nghề chuyên về mẫu giáo và giáo dục.
  • Cambridge Nationals – tương tự như BTECs và được đào tạo ở các cấp độ chứng chỉ, cao đẳng, cao đẳng nâng cao.
  • Cao đẳng- cao đẳng nâng cao, dành cho học sinh từ 14-19 tuổi tại Anh, bao gồm các môn học liên quan đến thực tiễn nghành nghề học và được giảng dạy bởi các giảng viên và cả nhà tuyển dụng, thường kéo dài 2 năm, cấp bằng cao đẳng hoặc cao đẳng nâng cao.

 Thời gian học các khóa đào tạo nghề có thể từ 6 tháng đến 2 năm và đặc điểm chung của các khóa học này là: yêu cầu đầu vào linh hoạtm đa dạng về ngành nghề, tnh thưc tiễn cao, kiến thức học được xem xét tính để miễn trừ một phần trong chương trình học cao hơn, bậc cao đẳng hoặc cử nhân.
